Every morning I wake up
Every morning I see your face
EVERY morning I wake up Every morning I see your smile Stay for a while
Every day I feel grateful
Every day I feel more like youu
Every day I feel grateful
Every day I feel more like youuu What can I do
Stay for a while
In my head always getting older Wonder why I never think about her
I keep it gold I’m keep it gold
I keep it gold Keeping it gold
Here we go
I’m walking alone
Music’s going
And I feel at home
I’m keeping it gold I’m keeping it gold I’m keeping it gold
In my head
I see myself
And all things
I want to change
Keepin it gold
Remember that’s your soul
I’m Keeping it gold
I’m keeping it gold
Here we are alaways getting older
Trying hard to not think about it
Keep it gold
I’m keeping it gold
Keeping it gold Keep it gold
Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
These tracks are straightforward and concise, never relying on gauzy metaphors to complicate her declarations of love. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 20, 2017
Dreamy, intricate guitar pop from Oakland's Absent City; splashes of accordion, sitar, lap steel, and mandolin add textural richness. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2020
