I don’t where it all began
Two lovers maybe holding hands
I don’t know if you’d understand, loving Nobody
She is everyone I know
And even all the ones I don’t
She reads all of my thoughts and knows I love nobody
Nobody Nobody Nobody Nobody
Loving keeps you all brand new But everyday I’m more like you
I don’t know if I’m Loving nobody
Loving is a simple thing
It’s letting go of all the pain Nobody ever feels the same After love comes through
Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
These tracks are straightforward and concise, never relying on gauzy metaphors to complicate her declarations of love. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 20, 2017
Dreamy, intricate guitar pop from Oakland's Absent City; splashes of accordion, sitar, lap steel, and mandolin add textural richness. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2020
